Top Posters In This Topic 12 4 3 8. B16A1 had hp from a 1. B18C5 has hp from a 1. The B18C5 will be much faster right out of the box, they're good motors matched with very good trannys.
I think HAsport or place is in the process, so I think a lot of people are waiting for that. Considering the price difference I do and always have thought that the B16 is the smarter swap. Some people want a simple drop in motor that performs. Others race in events where you can only have OE parts, etc. It's all personal preference.

If you want to just swap a motor in and be done with it get the C5, if you want the "bling factor" get the B16B, if you plan to build up the motor for a turbo or something down the line I'd say stay away from both due to the high compression and the fact that you might end up replacing parts that you already paid extra for.
I was just wondering if you could help me out. Alright I have a 99 honda civic si, I have had it for a while now but its still in perfect conditioin the only major thing I have done with it was a b18c5 swap
