Can i use blush without foundation

Foundation is definitely NOT necessary but sometimes it helps to just put something on that will even out your skin. Hi, foundation is used to even out skin tone and cover blemishes and any pigmentation issues. It helps to provide a smooth base for makeup. It can be used as contour too. When your pores are clogged, they get bigger in order to increase surface area for absorption. So when you stop wearing makeup, it gives them a chance to shrink back to their natural state, almost eliminating the need for makeup in the first place!

You can definitely wear blush without foundation. Wearing bronzer on bare skin without applying foundation or any other base product is possible and easy to do. The only important thing IS to moisturize, so you're good. Things like primers are good depending on your skin type and the brand of makeup you are using. If you have oily to combination skin and you find that your eyeshadows are not applying as bright as they look otherwise, then you need a primer.

You would also need one if you are SO oily that your eyeshadow cracks, creases, or melts off quickly. Like I said, the brand makes a big difference too. If you are using brands found at grocery stores, you might need it even if you have dry skin because the quality of the makeup is just not that good. One last thing, if you are into pigments loose powder shadows with vibrant color then you definitely will need primer for the "flakes" to stick to your lids.

You're lucky if you can pull it off without any of that other guck on your face you know. You do not NEED to wear foundation. If you have naturally beautiful skin then definitely go bare! Especially if your face suddenly breaks out, do not wear anything thing on your face just an acne treatment and a little eyeshadow. So in short: foundation isn't necessary. It is ok Because for shcool and work, i only wear a moisurizer and my basic make up.

Its not a must to wear foundation but I feel that if you do crazy eyeshadow and lips you should put a lil somethin on your face even if its just a tented moisturizer if you have a good even skintone. I'm sorry but if you have blotchy skin and blemishes and killer eyeshadow and lips, I wont even notice the eyes and lips cause I'll be too busy looking at all the imperfections in your face.

Learning how to apply blush correctly is trickier than it might seem.

Even with this seemingly simple direction, it's easy to go overboard and find yourself looking a little clownish. But there's at least one good reason you should be wearing blush: It brightens up dull skin and gives you an instant glow. To make things easier, keep scrolling for the six mistakes almost everyone makes when applying blush. When you spend a lot of time in the beauty industry, you pick up tips from makeup artists.

One of the best blush tricks we've learned is from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's go-to makeup artist Florrie White, who suggests that blush isn't just for your cheeks.

As well as subtly applying the color to the apples of your cheeks, you should also add some to your temples to create a natural highlight, according to White. If you have oily skin , a cheek stain works well. Stains look dewy and last for ages, even if you tend to sweat or have oil-prone skin. Apply a little at a time — once it sets into your skin, it's hard to blend out hence the name!

If you have normal or combination skin , creamy formulas are great and have high staying power. Cream blush is easy to use for most skin types, comes in tons of colors, and gives skin a fresh, youthful look. If you have dry skin, stick with a powder formula. Powder blush is great for gliding over pores for a blurring effect and despite popular belief, stains and creams aren't so great for dry skin: They can crack when they dry, which exacerbates the look of dryness.

It's true that your makeup will only look as good as the tools you apply it with, and "if you're going to spend money on any tools, spend it on a blush brush! Swirl the brush in product and be sure to tap off any excess before applying to your face so you don't wind up with a big dab of color on your cheek. Blush is meant to strategically accent your face, which means you need to take your bone structure into account before applying it in the first place.

Heart-shaped faces: If your face is long with prominent cheekbones and a narrow chin, you likely have a heart-shaped face. Apply blush in a "C" shape from the top of the temple down to the cheekbone. Use more product along the cheekbone, then diffuse it up towards the temple, pushing it in and upwards. Don't go overboard with your application: "You want a blended look since it's on more than just the cheeks," Glen warns. Oblong faces : If your forehead, cheeks, and jawline are all about the same width, you have an oblong face shape.

Hit the apple of the cheek with blush starting at the most prominent part of the cheek, blending color towards the nose and bringing it out towards the temple. Add a touch of blush on the forehead and the sides of the brows to bring the look together. Square face: If your facer has straight sides and a fairly flat jawline think Olivia Wilde or Angelina Jolie , you have a square face.

With long, light motions, sweep blush across the cheekbone, starting low and moving upwards. Pull blush from the eyebrow down to the nose, very softly and blended. Round face: If your cheeks are the fullest part your face and and you have a curved jawline, you have a round face.

For the best blush, look in the mirror, smile, then swipe blush on the apples of your cheeks. Using a foundation brush and medium-size strokes, brush color up towards the temple and down towards the earlobe to blend. Oval faces: If your face is long with somewhat prominent cheeks, a narrower chin, and a narrow forehead, your face is oval. Glen recommends starting at the most prominent part of the cheekbone and using soft strokes, bring blush down towards the earlobe and blend up towards the temple.

Add the slightest bit just above the temple, too, for balance.
