If I were to boil down these many ideas into three categories it would be the hippies, the music, and the drugs — the fun stuff. Another way that punk rock has affected American society is by fashion. This became a very famous fashion style among teens that listened and were a fan of punk rock.
The event took place on a acre farm where sex, drugs, and music were done in abundance. Woodstock was an influential event in the history of music because it was a political platform for musicians. Punk has declined into a death crawl. Due to new technology and sound mixing, the influence of changing culture with more supportive ideas, waves of individuality causing drastic changes in popular style; the transition from pure vocal to electronic overlay, to the journey from child to teenager full of angst and depression, bitterness, and fight.
The change from rage to disgruntled and fragile stability and not completely complacent, shows how little the original feelings of rage have changed even though the exterior shows only growing frustration. Emotions bleed through and prove the truth in their words. Themes of life turning to death, rotting in coffins, play out alongside upbeat tempos, yelling and wailing guitar, while the lyrics prove that songs that reference dying represent life the best. The Harlem Renaissance took place during the s through the s, and is noted as the first point in American history when African-American achievements in art, music, and literature flourished and were widely accepted.
Americans enjoyed many fundamental changes and embraced a new conservatism in social, political and economic life during the s. The fashion, sports, and technological industries all expanded with the rise of the economy where new products, styles, and leagues were introduced. Furthermore, many historical U. Bush, the U. Rock music has changed and evolved extensively from its original form into many different subgenres of the modern day.
One of which is the ever expanding alternative rock. Alternative rock has many extensive roots and influencers. From hard rock to classic rock and even some blues, alternative rock is a primarily newer genre that is still popular today.
